Valence Technology (VLNC): Big Move On No News

There is something odd about small cap stocks that make unexpected runs on big volume.

Take Valence Technology (VLNC). The stock is up over 30% on no news and has already traded five times its normal volume.

On Monday, VLNC announced it would have an earnings call on June 13.

Valence markets rechargeable battery technology. In its last quarter, revenue fell by more than half and the company had an operating loss of $4.5 million.
